Living in a Disney movie

Unless you grew up with the penguins in Antartica, you likely grew up watching Disney movies. My favorites were always the ones with the surreal art. In other words, Sleeping Beauty was my favorite Disney movie. I even have a water color I picked up in Prague that basically is if Prague and Sleeping Beauty's cartoonist had a baby. Though Mary Poppins isn't one of my favorite Disney movies... sacrilege I know, I love the scenes when they jump into Dick Van Dykes sidewalk chalk art. Those kids took that incredible experience for granted. If you can't tell, I would love to live in a surreal painting. I wouldn't mind being one of Degas' ballerinas! Being that I live in reality though, I have to come up with a compromise. My water color of Prague is the first step. The tableau below posted on domainehome.com, the new website from the WhoWhatWear folks, would be the next step. It's almost as if someone drew a simple line drawing and it became reality.

The black and white images framed with white matting and black framing on a white wall set the scene. The simple black roman shade and the black floors bring it to that next level. The pop of color in the  pink tuffet are really what brings the whole room together though. It brings a room that would otherwise be stark to whimsical.
